Information About Fifi - Hawick teacher

Personal Description:

I am a conductor and composer, currently working and studying in Paris. I graduated from Oxford University with my Bhons in Music in 2018, after which I moved to France to increase my practical skills through further study. I play the trumpet and piano to a high level, and use both daily in my life as a conductor.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught private piano lessons, and have previously worked in a music school for young musicians. I have experience in the professional field as an orchestral conductor and composer. I would be able to share my knowledge of music theory with my students, as well as an in-depth knowledge of analysis and history of music that I first developed at Oxford University, and later through practical study of conducting.

I can also teach music in French, including solfege if wanted.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a very friendly teacher, and encourage the enjoyment of musical practice first and foremost! I enjoy guiding students through music via both the practical and the theoretical in order to achieve a greater understanding and love for the music that we are playing/studying.
