Personal Description:
I have been teaching violin for over 20 yrs in various settings. Aswell as teaching, I am also a freelance violinist, performing in and around the locality with various ensembles.
Tutoring Experience:
With over 20 yrs experience as a violin teacher, I have gained experience in all areas of music teaching from small groups to individuals and even whole class teaching! I have experience in teaching all levels and ages of violinist.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that learning an instrument should be an enjoyable experience. Lessons are tailored to the needs/requirements of the individual. I teach a broad and rounded curriculum including various musical styles, improvisation and formal exam preparation. Using games and songs or movement and props to illustrate various musical or technical elements are all part of the lesson which make my lessons diverse and fun!
