Information About Elliot - Cardiff teacher

Personal Description:

A south wales based brass musician keen to build and develop players of all standards. I currently study at the RWCMD and take on many external musical roles, such as conducting, composing etc. I’ve travelled many parts of the world with my playing, interacting with different communities and seeing first hand how many different countries successfully engage in music tuition. I pride myself on being very open minded and encouraging to all students so they can thrive in the musical world.

Tutoring Experience:

I’ve been teaching privately on and off for the past 18 months, however I am now looking to build a steady rotation of aspiring brass musicians. I have a range of experience in conducting, which involves interaction with a variety of demographics, and pride myself on improving the quality of the brass ensembles (brass bands, quartets/quintets etc) I work with, and of course the musicians I work with.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to music tuition is inclusive, flexible, and committed. I can guarantee absolute commitment into improving the standard of any bras musician I work with, and am fully understanding and flexible in aligning with people’s busy lives. In my lessons we will identify key areas for improvement in your playing, and then come up with efficient structured plans in how to solve those issues, and how to make you overall a better musician.
