Personal Description:

A friendly, patient, tutor and musician who specialises in Ukulele training from absolute beginner level to advanced level both informally with simplified exercises and instruction suitable for those who just want to play for fun and also formally with RGT grading levels from preliminary to grade 3 for those who would like to gain music qualifications.
I myself have been practising ukulele for over a decade and arrange and facilitate all content the ukulele courses at Ukulele Club Liverpool.
In my spare time, I like to perform at events and festivals with the UCL house band, playing a super concert ukulele, and with the Ma Machetes playing baritone ukulele. I can adapt lessons for all types of ukuleles including soprano, concert, tenor, baritone and banjolele.

Tutoring Experience:

In 2006, I began teaching music at a local children's youth club before taking on regular clients and starting work as a part time lecturer of music and music technology at Liverpool City College. In 2012 Ukulele Club Liverpool became my passion and I have facilitated both individual and group lessons from absolute beginner level to advanced level, teaching 500+ members during the past decade.
I also deliver specialised ukulele workshops and will be facilitating ukulele workshops at the University of Liverpool in 2021.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a large database of tried and tested ukulele learning resources that students will receive during lessons which can be adapted to suit your individual needs. Each session is carefully designed so that you learn a number of short exercises that you can film to help with home practice as well as introductions to a range of songs in various styles and genres from 18th century classical right up to todays chart music and everything in between.
