Personal Description:

I studied piano, jazz and singing at Chetham’s School of Music for 8 years. I study at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire piano part time and am a Choral scholar with Trinity College, Cambridge where I read music.

I offer lessons which include piano playing, music theory, keyboard musicianship skills and aural skills. I can help you or your child with preparation for any ABRSM or Trinity board exams, as well as teaching a new skill for fun. I am a disciplined teacher, but I believe that learning piano should first of all be an enriching and fun experience. Good technique will help you achieve that!

Tutoring Experience:

I have given priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons to students of all ranges of ability for a few years now, and am familiar with teaching method and how to motivate my students to practice well in between lessons. Each of my students is different, depending on their age, level and personality.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching method begins with the student, and with the music we are playing. I will give you a firm foundation in piano technique which will allow you to approach any new piece confidently and with control of how you want to portray its meaning. My method is after my own teacher, Pascal Nemirovski, who prioritises good tone and colour at the piano. Good sight-reading, aural and singing skills at part of my holistic approach to teaching.
