Personal Description:

I have enjoyed a 20-year professional singing career including live performance and recording. I have taught guitar and singing privately. I have applied myself to musical theatre, gospel choir and continually attend workshops to keep my technique interesting and engaging. My next workshop will be at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in July: a Singer’s Weekend as part of the Jazz Summer School 2012.

Tutoring Experience:

My teaching experience has been 1-2-1 generally. However, while on practical sessions during the study for a Masters in Music Therapy I did gain experience working with groups of different ages, ethnicity and cognitive abilities, learning how to make each student feel special and valued.

Tutoring Approach:

Singing is my passion and I like my students to leave feeling the excitement I have for singing and music, and realize their own potential and give them the confidence to follow their dreams as an artist. I teach fundamentals of music as well as guitar accompaniment, and song writing techniques.
