Personal Description:

My name is Dean and I'm a keen guitarist, guitar tutor and sound engineer. I am offering my musical knowledge, technique and experience to anyone that requires a quality service.

I have been playing the guitar for over 18 years and have passed my Grade 8 Electric Guitar Rockschool Exam. I also studied at Deep Blue Sound in Plymouth, Devon, and gained a BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology and Sound Engineering at Distinction level.

Since completing the above courses, I have gigged in numerous bands and productions, covering a wide range of styles. I am currently lead guitarist for a Devon based, covers band called deciBelle where I maintain my strong passion for performing.

My main influences include Jimi Hendrix, Steve Vai, Guthrie Govan, John Petrucci, to name but a few.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience teaching all ages and abilities, both privately and in several schools. I also run **Web Address Removed**, which provides private guitar and piano tuition service to Torpoint and surrounding areas.

Over the past couple of years, I have attended many intimate Guitar Masterclasses with guitar greats such as Paul Gilbert, Andy Timmons, Guthrie Govan, Uli Jon Roth, Greg Howe and many more. These masterclasses have given me the best advice and inspiration that I hope to pass down to all of my students.

Tutoring Approach:

I always tailor my lessons to suit the needs of the individual, making the lessons enjoyable and informative. I do not teach groups any larger than 2, as I believe crowded lessons are very unproductive. I also provide fortnightly lessons in the Ivybridge area at the student's home.
