Personal Description:

I have been teaching Guitar & Bass for over 22 years and I am also an experienced Gigging Musician.I have played in Rock Covers Bands for 22 years and have played hundreds of Gigs.I am open-minded about musical styles and I continue to practice regularly as I feel that the Guitar is always interesting and the learning never really stops;even when you can play at a high standard.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a Certificate of Teaching from ABRSM,a PVG Certificate,22 years teaching experience and an HND in Modern Musicianship.I teach from home and have also been teaching in both State and Independent Schools over the last 18 years.I have put countless Students through Exams,run Guitar Ensembles and taken part in Concerts.

Tutoring Approach:

I am patient with Pupils as I remember what it was like back at the beginning and I believe strongly in giving Students good grounding,regardless of what level they want to reach.All styles and techniques can be covered in lessons,although I specialise in Rock,Pop and Metal.Guitar/Bass-related Music Theory,Music Reading and Improvisation can be covered too.I can also prepare Students for Exams.Lessons can be tailored to suit the individual.All lessons are "one to one."
