Personal Description:

A Royal Conservatoire of Scotland BMus (Hons) graduate, who highly enjoys teaching children as well as adults of all ages. I'm a professionally qualified music performer, with a lot of experience in both teaching and performance.
I started my musical education in Poland at the age of 11 and only two years later I moved to Scotland and started studying at St. Mary's Music School in Edinburgh where I was taught by both: Patricia Hair and Ruth Beauchamp. In the past, I've taken a part in several recitals and concerts, featuring solo, chamber music and orchestral works, and I've been a winner and a runner up of several recitals of the Edinburgh Festival. A few years ago I was also a finalist and the winner of the Edinburgh Festival Concerto Competition where I had the pleasure of performing the Shostakovich Cello Concerto with the Meadows Chamber Orchestra. In 2014 I started my studies as a scholarship student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where I've been taught by Aleksei Kiseliov, David Watkin, Alison Wells and Martin Storey. As a graduate of year 2018, I'd love to find new opportunities to improve at my profession, and one of the main things that I really love is teaching and passing on my knowledge to others. I have worked amongst some truly amazing musicians, like the members of the Brodsky Quartet or Hebrides Ensemble, and in the past I have had the pleasure of taking part in public masterclasses with Steven Isserlis, Philip Higham, David Geringas, Narek Hakhnazaryan, Alice Neary, Hannah Roberts, and Chris Hoyle.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been giving private cello lessons for seven years now, I have taught at the Diane Mitchell Music School in Paisley, as well as St Mary's Music School in Edinburgh (in the Saturday Morning classes). In the past, I have also studied professional teaching methods in the ''Teaching Musician'' module at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
I have experience in teaching piano and music theory as well.

Tutoring Approach:

I have real passion for music, and in my opinion, this is the main quality to pass on to other musicians. I am happy to teach students using the ABRSM system or any other system chosen by the student.
