Tutoring Experience:

I have taught guitar for several years and as of 2019, teaching has been my full-time profession. I teach both adults and children, ranging from complete beginners learning their first chords and songs to more advanced players looking at topics such as detailed technique, the CAGED system, Modes and so on.

I have created an extensive collection of learning materials to enhance the learning process, as well as a large selection of song transcriptions, covering a variety of genres and difficulty levels. I regularly fulfil requests in order to help each student on their personal journey and consistently add to my resources so I can continue to guide more students towards their musical aspirations.

Tutoring Approach:

With beginners I will cover all the basics of guitar, from chords and melodies to fingerstyle, popular riffs and simple songs. From this point we can create a development path based upon the student’s personal interests and focus on material tailored towards their long-term goals.

With advancing players, the first step is to establish specific goals and amend any deficiencies or bad habits present in their playing. From here we can create a suitable progression plan and focus on the practical and theoretical topics necessary for them to reach their aspirations.

I keep records of each students development so I can teach material in a well-structured manner. I am flexible with my time and strive to offer engaging and effective guitar lessons.
