Personal Description:

Cristina is a professional harpist and harp teacher based in Earlsfield, London. She graduated from the Royal College of Music (MMus in Advanced Performance) in 2011 with Distinction and has been former principal harpist at the Opera and Ballet Theatre in Zagreb from 2013 to 2018. She has performed as an orchestral player in several orchestras (including La Scala of Milan) under the baton of conductors such as M° Riccardo Chailly, Bernard Haitink, Lorin Maazel and Zubin Mehta. She is the prizewinner of 14 national and international contests and has performed as a soloist and chamber player in various concert seasons in England and abroad. Her chamber and orchestral performances have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, Rai 5, Radio Vaticana and HRT **Contact Detail Removed**vision and she has done remote recording for EMI Sony and Cavendish Music.

Cristina has been a harp teacher since 2013 and she currently runs a thriving private teaching studio with over 15 pupils. Most of them enter ABRSM exams achieving high merit and distinction and successfully audition for the National Children’s Orchestra, the National Youth Orchestra and the LSSO.
In recent years she has been a harp teacher at Queen Anne`s School, Reading and at a specialist music school C. Percoto in Italy. She teaches classical music to all levels, beginners to advanced, including preparation for orchestral training. Lessons will cover postural awarness, technique excercises, sight-reading, music expression and performance practice.

Cristina is a dedicated and responsible person, passionate about music, reading, travelling and the human mind - besides her music experience she has got a MSc in Cognitive Psychology (Music, Mind and Brain). She strongly believes in music education and in sharing her passion for music!

Tutoring Experience:

Private Harp teacher , currently tutoring over 15 students. I prepare my students for grades, competitions and orchestral auditions (NCO, NYO, LSSO etc).

Lessons are usually held at the Cristina's house, but visiting lessons can be arranged if convenient
(travel expenses will be added according to distance).
