Personal Description:
Connor works as a freelance trumpeter and teacher based in York, UK. As a performer, he has played at a variety of venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall and York Minster. His most recent festival performances include Glastonbury (2019, 2022 and 2023) and Rio Carnival (2020), both with the New York Brass Band. Connor also plays trumpet for The Sam Johnson Big Band and musical theatre shows. Having graduated with an MA in Music from The University of York, Connor has been teaching the trumpet and music theory in and around the York area, as well as online.

Tutoring Experience:
Connor has taught a variety of students from complete beginners to post grade 8 with successful results in graded exams. He has also taught for York Arts Education as their brass tutor and ensemble leader at York Music Centre. As well as teaching one-to-one, Connor also teaches online. For younger students, 30 minutes is recommended.
Tutoring Approach:
Connor tailors every lesson to the pupil focussing on what they would like to achieve, whether this be aiming towards graded exams, brushing up on technique or learning for fun.
