Information About Christiane E - Watford teacher

Personal Description:

I am a professional violinist working with orchestras and ensembles throughout the UK such as The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, and The Mozartists. I am a keen Chamber musician and also organise my own concerts with festivals in London and Norway, where I grew up. I am also very fond of teaching and have taught privately in London since 2011. Tutoring Experience:

My teaching experience include teaching students of all standards (ABRSM and Trinity with a 100% pass rate and Suzuki method)
I am currently teaching at The Charter School, North Dulwich where I have been a peripatetic violin teacher from September 2015.
I have been a visiting tutor at Trinity Laban Junior School and Hackney Youth Orchestra Trust and Stoneleigh Youth Orchestra.
From 2013 to 2015 I was a peripatetic violin teacher at Highbury Grove School.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching approach depends on the student and what the goal is: passing an exam, preparing for GCSE, or learning violin or viola as a beginner or for fun. I will always try to cover the main basics in every lesson and make sure the students know how to and what to practice at home. I think listening and doing are two important elements of learning. I recommend all young students and beginners to practice at least 20 min a day.
