Personal Description:

I hold a Master of Music in Performance degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, as well as a Master of Music in Solo Performance degree from the Royal Northern College of Music, and a Bachelor of Music degree with 1st Class Honours from Trinity Laban Conservatoire. During my training I have been very fortunate to receive coaching from eminent artists including Graham Johnson, Julius Drake, Iain Burnside, Nelson Goerner, and Stephen Hough.

I have performed as both a soloist and accompanist at the Oxford Lieder Festival, the North West New Music Festival, the Reflections of Debussy Festival at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, the Machynlleth Festival, and The City of London Festival, as well as St. John's Smith Square, London, and SJE Arts, Oxford. I also work regularly with Christopher Hann and the Berkshire Youth Choir and Berkshire Young Voices

I divide my time between London, Berkshire and my home in Chelmsford.

Tutoring Experience:

I enjoy teaching and performing equally. I have now taught for seven years, to all ages and abilities, and many of my students enter and are successful in ABRSM, Trinity and Rock School examinations throughout the year, as well as ABRSM theory (grade 5). I also work for Berkshire Maestros as a piano teacher and accompanist, and regularly attend CPD training days which ensures I am kept up-to-date with an ever-changing profession as well as receiving all safe-guarding training where necessary. I hold a current DBS certificate.

Tutoring Approach:

Friendly but focussed, and always put the needs of the student first. I am able to tailor my training and experience to fit the personality and needs of the student, and make sure to teach the art and understanding of how to practise so students know how to get maximum enjoyment and success from their learning. I believe that all learners should be able to play confidently to a high standard whatever their ability, whether as a hobby for their enjoyment, or to gain music qualifications.

All ages and abilities welcome!

Also very happy to teach and demonstrate virtually from my home (Skype/Zoom).
