Information About Ben - Plymouth teacher

Personal Description:

I am passionate about all sound and audio design related subjects. I enjoy listening, writing and producing all types of music and sounds for projects both personal, collaborative and for clients. I love sharing information, finding solutions for technical problems, being creative and learning new skills.

I have extensive experience of music production, music technology, mixing, mastering, arrangement, sound design and focus a lot of my process around work flow.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching music production and sound engineering subjects for 10 years alongside working in professional studios. I have taught in an Apple, Ableton, Steinberg and Native Instruments training centre and for two music focused universities.
I have worked with all types of learners, both mainstream, private and those with barriers to learning.
I am trained to degree level, I have three diplomas in music subjects and have 2 teaching qualifications.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tuition in music and creative subjects is to get the learner to be working with the equipment and software as early as possible to allow confidence to grow.
I like to provide context, theoretical explanations, demonstrations and practical exercises in order to cover all four learning styles and give well rounded focus to subjects.
