Personal Description:

Hi! My name is Ben and I produce electronic music under the moniker 'Astrover'! Having been exposed to music for my entire life and having listened to and produced various styles of electronic music as I was growing up, I have developed an incredibly strong love for electronic music, music production and DJing! My main tastes lie with techno, drum and bass, electro and ambient music but I find every genre beautiful in its own way!

I also have a love for teaching others and sharing my love for music with them in this way! Having previously had lessons as I was learning to produce music, I understand just how much they can help people looking to learn or improve their skills, and therefore want to help others to achieve their goals, this being something that is very satisfying to me!

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught several paying students and friends how to produce music and use Ableton Live, some of which being complete beginners and others being advanced producers! This has given me an ability to explain things in a simple and comprehensible way and has also taught me to approach teaching so as to not overwhelm students who may be beginners, as learning music production is often challenging at the start!

I have also produced a wide range of styles of electronic music for over 7 years and have had releases on multiple record labels, as well as having done paid production work for filmmakers and plays!

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in a uniquely tailored approach in which lessons are catered towards your needs! Any questions you have, big or small, can be looked at together in a way that suits your style of learning. I also believe in creating a warm and friendly environment in which you feel comfortable to learn at the pace you need to! After each lesson, I also create comprehensive notes with diagrams that cover the topics we have looked at in any given lesson and are tailored to you, in order to help you consolidate your learning as best as possible!

I offer lessons to people of all levels of experience and age, whether you're a complete beginner or are looking to take your tracks up a notch in preparation for releasing on record labels!

No matter how complicated music production may seem at any given stage, I am a firm believer that anyone can make good quality music eventually and, as a former student, do not underestimate how helpful lessons can be in achieving this. Together, we'll explore and develop your unique style and overcome challenges at your pace! I'm here to make your learning as fun, engaging and informative as possible, all while doing this in a warm and friendly learning environment!
