Personal Description:
I am a classically trained and professional pianist, I started playing the piano when I was 3 years old, and never stopped since! I have many experiences in performing, competitions and accompanying singers/instrumentalists in concerts and in music exams. I have helped many students to pass ABRSM music and theory exams with very good grades. I currently work as a pianist for several ballet schools in London, and teach piano at Dwight School London. I enjoy performing and also teaching piano. I can travel to pupils homes in North London and can also teach at my home and teach online via zoom/FaceTime.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching for more than 15 years, both privately and at schools. When studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland I was often the deputy piano teacher and accompanist for the Junior Academy, I also taught many children and adults outside and prepared them for ABRSM exams. After gaining Master in Music degree, I held the post of piano teacher and concert pianist at Loretto School, Musselburgh, and piano teacher at St Aloysius' College, Glasgow. Since moving to London in 2012 I have been working as a pianist for several ballet schools in London, I also teach piano at the Dwight School London and privately. I have been teaching a lot online since lock down last year and it has been very successful.
Tutoring Approach:
I always try to make piano lessons as enjoyable as possible, being quite relaxed but also structured. I am very familiar with the exams and I prepare my students very well for them. I always encourage students to practise as it is very important for their progress. I’m happy to take students from 6 years old onwards as I feel I’m not specialised in teaching children younger than 6 years old.
