Professional musician teaching and working in London. Played with orchestras and groups such as Manchester Camerata,I Fagiolini, Deep Purple and recorded in Abbey Road with Rick Wakeman, including going on a UK tour with 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth'. I have a First Class Honours degree and have trained at leading establishments including the Royal Academy of Music and Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Tutoring Experience:
Ten years of experience private teaching as well as teaching in schools and working with youth orchestras. I am currently the violin teacher at St. Mary’s School in Gerrards Cross and I teach violin and oboe for Hertfordshire County Council. Experienced in entering pupils for ABRSM and Trinity exams including Diplomas.
Tutoring Approach:
I have a friendly approach to teaching, always being encouraging and supportive whether it be preparing for an exam or just for fun. I like to inspire younger pupils to really enjoy music and find their voice within their instrument. For adult learners, I enjoy teaching in a more relaxed way and will cater to individual needs, preparing parts for orchestral rehearsals or just working through repertoire that interests them.
