Personal Description:

I'm a professional cellist based in Woodbridge, Suffolk. I have just left my full time role in the Countess of Wessex's String Orchestra, in the British Army. I have a BMus (Hons) 2:1 degree from the Royal Northern College of Music. Prior to this, I studied at the Royal Academy of Music Junior Academy for two years. I have a wide experience in orchestral, session, pop, recordings, operas, musical theatre, choral works and I've performed at many weddings and events in various types of ensembles.

As well as being a cellist, I have grade 8 qualifications in Trombone and Classical Singing.

Tutoring Experience:

3 years of private teaching students in London. 2 years at One Education Ltd in Manchester in schools and 1-1 tuition. I have taught cello, violin, viola, double bass, trombone, recorder and group singing. I have also taught at Sheffield Music Academy, Chorlton Music Centre and been employed as a mentor at the Lancashire youth Orchestra and the English Symphony Orchestra youth ensemble.

Tutoring Approach:

A wholesome approach to music, not just the instrument. From beginners to advanced, I equally want students to enjoy their lessons whether they wish to do grades or not. I also welcome students who aspire to attend music college as I have a very recent knowledge of student life as a musician and the life it holds as you leave student life.
