Personal Description:
Hello I'm Amelia!
I am based in Wetherby (online lessons are also available). I am a qualified teacher with Specialist Instrumental Training, graduating from The Royal Northern College of Music. I am an award winning first class honours graduate from Leeds Conservatoire and have performed throughout the North-East/West UK and Europe in many different ensembles. My main instrument is flute (including C flute, alto and piccolo) but I teach clarinet and piano too.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been a private tutor for 9 years with students aged 4-78 of all abilities. Currently, I work to the Trinity syllabus for flute and clarinet but work to the ABRSM spec if preferred and Rock School London. As a qualified teacher, I have classroom experience in Primary, Secondary and College settings teaching woodwind instrumental lessons, curriculum, GCSE, BTEC and A-Level music, I have also worked in Early Years settings with children aged 3 months to 4 years as a music specialist.
Tutoring Approach:
Music should be a fun and positive experience! Lessons are tailored to each individual, depending on their ability and interests. Whether you want to learn for the enjoyment, to prepare for a grade, or audition for music colleges, I am incredibly supportive no matter which route you would like to take. I am enthusiastic and patient, I love to see pupils progress week by week.
I offer 30 minute lessons which are £25 - targeted at younger and beginner students.
Enhanced DBS checked.
