Personal Description:
I am a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in classical singing/opera. I am presently working as a professional opera singer, and have sung with major opera companies in the UK. I am a private singing teacher at Weald Grammar in Sevenoaks, and hold an enhanced DBS with them.
I have completed ABRSM Grade 8 piano and violin, and am happy to help students who are working towards these exams, and also those who wish to pursue music more casually. I live in Hastings and have a teaching studio there; I am also willing to travel for longer lessons, depending on the postcode.
Tutoring Experience:
I have enjoyed teaching musicians of all ages and abilities over the last decade, whilst continuing to perform professionally as a singer.
Tutoring Approach:
I try to cater to the individual needs of each student, and my aim is to help you to learn to teach yourself. Most importantly, I believe that learning an instrument should be an enjoyable and enriching experience!
