Personal Description:

Alba is an enthusiastic flute teacher with experience with all levels and ages. She is also a freelance orchestral musician and plays regularly with orchestras such as Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Scottish Ballet, Ulster Orchestra or BBC SSO.

**Removed By Admin**

She believes that music is a beautiful form of communication, and loves to always come up with new ways to transmit this universal language to her students.

Music is a discipline which allows us to work on many personal aspects (imagination, discipline, self-esteem, overcoming obstacles… ), that's why she thinks everyone should try it at least once in a lifetime!

What Alba offers in her lessons:

[Are you an adult looking to connect with music first-hand? Are you very young but already eager to learn how to play?] – Any can benefit immensely from learning an instrument!

[Are you completely new to music? Or do you want to pick the flute up after a while?] - Alba offers personalized lessons based on the student’s level and goals.

[Are you a native spanish speaker living in Edinburgh? Do you want to learn flute while you improve your Italian listening/speaking skills?] – Alba offers lessons in English, Spanish or Italian.

[Do you want to prepare an exam or an audition?] – Alba can help you set up a study plan, deadline-oriented and with very clear goals in mind.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 8 years of experience with a wide range of levels (beginner to semi-professional) and ages (6 - 70), in private tutoring and in music schools/academies.

Tutoring Approach:

My lessons are dynamic, trying to make them more of a dialogue than a lecture. I love learning from my students - about their feelings, their struggles, their inspirations or goals. That's why the structure of each lesson will change depending on the music we are working on or the goal we have in mind (wether musical or technical).

In my lessons, I want to cover the essentials (technique, sound, solfège, some harmony basics… ) that will allow the student to play freely and enjoying themselves, but I hear what their taste is, what they would be more into playing or learning, and I also focus on that.
