Personal Description:
Hello! My name is Áine, I am an Irish musician, singer and composer based in Manchester.
I have a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Manchester, where I specialised in vocal performance and composition; and I now work as a full time Composer, teacher and facilitator. I am skilled to teach in a number of styles including classical, Irish/Scottish traditional and musical theatre.
Over the years I have performed in many choirs including the University of Manchester's elite chamber choir Ad Solem, the Ulster Youth Choir, Manchester Oratory Choir and Manchester Chamber Choir; and instrumental ensembles including 'Macha', Manchester University Symphony Orchestra and Manchester University String Orchestra.
I have been awarded prizes for composition such as the 'Emerging Artist Prize' with Moving on Music, 'CMC Emerging Composer 2020/2021', and the winner of the ORA Singers Composer Competition; and I have worked with a number of professional ensembles on new commissions, including the Piatti Quartet and the Hard Rain Soloist Ensemble.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
I look forward to meeting you!
