Personal Description:

I am a bubbly outgoing person and have a huge passion for languages and language learning and love spending my summer holidays in the south of France. I understand fully how difficult learning a new language can be and employ a patient approach when teaching/tutoring.

Teaching Experience:

I am Head of Modern Foreign Languages at a Secondary School and have 20 years teaching experience. I have an excellent record of exam results and have a huge passion for languages. I was awarded 'outstanding' during a recent Ofsted Inspection. I am very familiar with the curriculum's new specification when teaching/tutoring students and ensure that they prepare fully for each of the 4 skills (listening, reading, speaking or writing) which feature in the exam.

Teaching Approach:

I am a patient teacher and always ensure to praise my students as they progress in my subject. In the classroom, pupils learn languages using visual, auditory and kinaesthetic methods and lessons are always filled with games and songs. I regularly take my pupils on French trips and ensure they have access to additional learning time at lunchtime or after school.
