Personal Description:
I was born in Russia and moved to live in England 13 years ago. I am a qualified teacher, was mainly qualified to teach French but of cause can teach my native language without any difficulty.
Teaching Experience:
Currently I am a supply teacher but very often have long terms teaching in a school. Enjoy it!
Teaching Approach:
I am very fair and try to listen to my pupils/ students wishes and try to work out the positive outcome.

ElenaFrom Toni (5/5): She was an excellent teacher it just wasn’t what I was looking for and I should have made that more clear - I was looking for conversational lessons, really light basics, nothing serious just to surprise my partner who is Russian but in the first lesson I was trying to read the alphabet and sentence structure- which is brilliant if you wanted to learn it properly but I just wanted to learn for fun and we were mismatched i think

From Maisie (/5): From my sessions with Elena I felt thoroughly supported through every step of my learning. She allowed me to feel comfortable and confident in my abilities and therefore I was able to get the necessary grades to get into a university that I previously thought was out of my reach.
From Clare (/5): Yelena is a patient, warm and friendly teacher who gently encourages progress. She is very thorough on grammar, and rightly makes the pupil pay attention to detail. However there is always room in her lessons for informal conversation in the language being studied, so learning is fun and the pupil can apply the lessons right away. I would have no hesitation in recommending Yelena, she is an excellent teacher.

From Alexandra (/5): Great tutor. Always really well prepared & makes lessons relevant. Very friendly & patient with my attempts. Really helpful to learn conversationally as it takes some of the fear out of speaking & you learn phrases you might actually use. Yelena is an excellent tutor & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.
