Personal Description:

Yaar is a Hebrew teacher, a lawyer and a PhD researcher. He holds his LLB and an LLM from the Haim Striks School of Law, Israel.

Yaar is a member of the Israeli Bar Association and has developed expertise in International Law, Human Rights, Tort, and immigration. He wrote dispositions to the Israeli Supreme Court and volunteered as an attorney with NGOs, providing legal aid for marginalised communities and developing education programmes in Israel.

Yaar also studied in Fordham University (New York) and participated in an International Competition Law programme at Oxford University and Queen Mary (London). Yaar studied at Exeter University and Keele after serving as an editor for the Hebrew Law Journal of the Emile Zola Chair for Interdisciplinary Human Rights Dialogue.

Teaching Experience:

Yaar has over five years of experience in teaching Hebrew across the UK. Additionally, Yaar used to teach public law, company law, and commercial law. He served as editor for the Under Construction acadeimc journal at Keele and worked as a law faculty researcher in the UK.

Yaar worked as a lecturer for Jurisprudence at the College of Management Academic Studies, and he was also a lecturer for Law and Economics at the foundation year programme at the The Academic Center for Law and Science.

For several years Yaar has been practising law while preparing European and American Lawyers for the Israeli Bar exam in Hebrew and English, enabling international lawyers to join the Israeli Bar Association and provide legal services in Israel, as well as teaching Hebrew.

Beginner Hebrew students are first introduced to the Hebrew alphabet, followed by the basics of Modern Hebrew grammar and syntax. Focusing on news and social media reports by Israeli journalists, Yaar's students are rapidly developing their ability to understand posts by Israeli politicians and public figures. Committed students will be able to read, listen, speak and express themselves in basic Modern Hebrew quickly.

Students will be encouraged to practice and analyse simple social media publications on their own free time, in order to maximize their gain from the lessons and in order to get a better insight into the Hebrew language.
