She is very patient with me if I am struggling with something, and is always willing to explain in a way that I can easily understand. She also has a good sense of humour as well, so the lessons never feel too serious and intimidating.

I have taken one hour classes once a week with Xirong, and have been very happy with the standard of tutoring provided. She is clear in her guidance and instructions, and makes learning fun. I am very pleased with the classes, and will be continuing for some time.

From Katherine (/5): Xirong is a very patient and thoughtful teacher. Her lessons are well structured, and there are plenty of opportunities to practise vocabulary in a safe space. She adjusts the pace of her classes well to support the needs of her student and takes the time to understand why you want to learn the language to ensure full commitment to learning. I have had three Cantonese lessons with Xirong now and I am starting to feel much more confident in my ability and pronunciation (I hope Xirong agrees!)

Reply from: Xirong: I totally agree. You are such a fast learner, only three hours of lessons make you as if you have been living in Hong Kong for at least one month. Well done!

He is very keen to do Chinese studies at university so decided to start Mandarin lessons to give himself a better chance of being accepted on the course.
