Personal Description:

Hey All- Good Day!
My name is Veronica and I live in Tanzania. I am the founder of the Swahili Online Teaching company Lugha Swahili.

I am Tanzanian-British, born and raised in Tanzania until I was 10 and lived in UK since. I come from a family that is very proud Tanzanian, who speak Swahili within the household and still practice our culture and enjoy our delicious Tanzanian foods at home. I am an Economist working in international development and research. I love meeting new people from around the world and sharing my love for Kiswahili and my Tanzanian culture. I look forward to helping people with learning Kiswahili.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching Kiswahili at the beginners and beginner intermediate level in Rwanda and Uganda for two years to more than 30 students.

Teaching Approach:

I am very approachable, enthusiastic and hardworking teacher, who love making her lessons practical and fun! I understand each student has their own style of learning so I tailor my classes to be person-specific and contextualise lessons according to an experience of an average Tanzanian. I am able to teach Kiswahili at beginners and beginners intermediate level, with ready-made student handbooks and exercises.
