VeraFrom Lola (4/5): Vera is a super friendly and helpful tutor, I only had a few lessons with her but from my perspective she was very understanding and throrough. The lessons are structured but also easy going and adaptable. Overall Vera is a lovely tutor!

He has some native speaking knowledge which allowed him to take his GCSE two years early but his writing, specifically grammar, needed a lot of work.
Vera has expert knowledge of the different exam board requirements and provided tailored tuition to prepare our son to succeed in his tests. He received a top score.
We had weekly virtual sessions which worked well. She provided useful material which we could review in between sessions. She expects good discipline from her students which no doubt keeps them focused on the task.
I highly recommend Vera and would be happy to engage her services again.

It is the perfect culmination of “me-time”, where you feel very special in the Vera has customised the lesson specifically to you. Through her preparation for the lesson and the fact that she is dressed immaculately, always there for you, it is clear that she treats the lesson with you with seriousness, respect and grace.

From Donia (/5): My son and I started German lessons with Vera a while ago, we were very happy as she is an amazing and friendly tutor with lots of creative tools and ways of teaching to make sure you understand everything you learn without ever getting bored. Now I feel like I am much more confident in speaking and understanding German and my son has consistently achieved A*s in his year 9 grades with the help of Vera!

From Helen (/5): I have thoroughly enjoyed my first few lessons with Vera and have learnt a lot in just a few lessons. The lessons are always very engaging and allow you to feel challenged but relaxed at the same time which is so important when learning and speaking a new language. Vera is always very encouraging and patient and this gives you confidence to have a go and not be worried about making mistakes. Vera's passion and knowledge of languages is evident throughout each lesson, she is very enthusiastic and keen to share her love of languages. I would recommend Vera to anyone wanting to learn a new language or improve their skills whatever their level and reasons for learning. My only regret is I wish I'd found Vera sooner!

From Jimin (/5): Hi, I learnt from Vera over the Christmas holidays ,virtually, and she was a massive help. She was able to cater the lessons towards my weaknesses and clearly explain what was beneficial in the exam. In the short time frame she raised my grade from a 6 to a 9 and I was able to feel that she wanted the best for me. She pushes you but also raises your confidence with commendations. She is an incredible teacher and I thoroughly recommend.

From Harry (/5): Vera is the perfect tutor. I absolutely love my lessons with her and am so glad that I made the decision to pick her. She is head of English at a secondary school and has extensive, life long experience teaching French. She has lots of resources and is very patient. If you want to learn to speak French you cannot do better, in my opinion. I am not taking the GCSE, but learning as an adult, but I did do GCSE french when I was younger, and am sure that Vera would be just as good at the academic side. It is amazing that such fantastic tutors exist at the touch of a button.

From Mariya (/5): I wanted to re-learn a European language, to improve my language skills, after spending a lot of time working in life Sciences. So, I wanted to re-learn German which Ilearned at school which may be useful for me in the future.
Vera is a great teacher,very patient and showed me a new way of how to learn a language in a better and quicker way. She is a wonderful personality who also gave me an insight into the German way of doing things in everyday life which was very educational.

I clarified with her the conditions in terms of location of classes before paying the fee and at the first class she told me the location was not convenient for her anymore and she would like to change it. I found this quite inappropriate as she should have done some research on commute time before accepting my conditions.

I kindly asked her to change the location to a place just a little nearer to my home, since she didn't allow me to come to her home. It would have meant 2 stops on the central line for her, but would have cut my travel time by half. Sadly enough she refused.
I wish her all the best for the future and hope she finds a suitable tutor that meets her needs and matches with her demands.

From Rhys (/5): Vera is fun, and does a good job of tailoring the lessons for my personal needs, as an adult casual learner. When we speak German, she speaks clearly but not patronisingly slowly, like you'll get on the tapes, this is really useful. We have hour and a half sessions at £30 which is a good amount of time. In my lessons we tend to spend most of the time practising talking and about half an hour learning a new grammatical principle, it might be different for you if you are building up to an exam. I've met Vera once a week for four months and I've gone from being a self taught beginner to an upper intermediate.
