Personal Description:
Hi, my name is Valentina and I am Italian. I have been living in the UK since 2002, after having been travelling through several countries. I am a very friendly, reliable, approachable person, but professional and trustworthy at the same time. I am very honest and I work very hard to achieve my targets. I am sure I can help you to achieve the results that you are looking for and, with my support, learning the language will be just a positive and enjoyable experience!
Teaching Experience:
Since 2003 I have been giving lessons to students of any age; my students are normally preparing university exams, GSCE, business people, descendants of Italian families, or simply people who enjoy to learn the language in order to be independent and confident when travelling.
Teaching Approach:
My lessons are very well planned in advance and delivered with confidence. I will make sure that your learning level will go up lesson by lesson! After a first assessment, I will prepare a tuition plan and the learning process will start. The positive results will come very soon!

From Michelle (/5): Valentina is very patient and encouraging with my daughter who is only 10 and learning Italian for the first time. She is loving the classes and keen to log on every week on zoom and learn - this is exactly what you need from a tutor, someone they WANT to learn from.

She also prepared really useful grammar exercises for the areas I needed help with. Without her I don’t know if I would have got a First for my Italian Degree. I’m sure I’ll have more lessons with Valentina in the future as I don’t want to lose the Italian language skills she has taught me!
From Sheila (/5): I started having lessons with Valentina just before lockdown in March 2020 and am thoroughly enjoying the experience. As a frequent visitor to family friends in Italy, I had some familiarity with the sound of the language but had never studied it and so we started at the absolute beginning and have had weekly lessons, mainly on Zoom. I am really pleased and quite surprised with my progress in just three months. Valentina is a really enthusiastic and thorough teacher and she explains the foundations of grammar very well. But the lessons are also fun and interactive and I have been motivated to do the homework and build more confidence in speaking and listening. I have loads more to learn but I can't wait now to go back to Italy and spend more time with my friends really embracing the language. Grazie mille!
From Joanna (/5): I cannot recommend Valentina highly enough. She is a patient, instinctive, good humoured, and insightful tutor. I have always considered myself to be useless at learning languages but with every lesson I feel like I am making progress. As an adult learner I was quite nervous about taking up Italian but I am loving it. Valentina is also a pleasure to spend time with and I look forward to my lessons very much.

From David (/5): Valentina is a very good teacher because she not only knows the subject that she is teaching and teaches in a clear way with clear explanations, but she is also able to put students at their ease, which is perhaps particularly important with language teaching. However many mistakes one makes as a student, Valentina enables one to learn from one's mistakes and not lose confidence. The way she teaches makes one enthusiastic and always look forward to the next lesson.
