Personal Description:
Shalom,
I'm a Hebrew teacher from Israel, with years of experience in teaching all levels and ages, groups and individuals.
From lessons for Israelis who want to improve their grammar and reading/writing skills, to people from around the globe who aren't familiar with the language.
Teaching Experience:
I am a native Hebrew speaker, and have more than 15 years of experience teaching.
I am the Hebrew teacher at a London Jewish Primary school, I teach Hebrew at different Chabad centres and more.
I've also been working at schools and nurseries in Israel and England, teaching classes and individuals, working with special needs and more.
I am CPD certified by the Education Child Protection and have an up to date DBS check.

Teaching Approach:
I teach in a unique way, using songs, pictures, colours and games, that allow different experiences with the language; so the lessons are fun and you REMEMBER and understand everything easily.
I teach every individual based on one's level, progress and needs, whether it's a one on one, pairs or groups.
I can teach you the correct, proper Hebrew, alongside the modern, spoken Hebrew. So you'll know what's grammatically correct, but also how Israelis actually speak.

Whether you are a complete beginner, or you are already familiar with the Hebrew language, it's time to start taking Hebrew classes!
A Complete Beginners course includes introduction to the Hebrew language, basic conversation skills, The Alef Bet letters (Block), reading and writing with and without Nikkud, grammatical gender, Hebrew nouns, pronouns, adjectives, possessives, numbers etc.
A Beginners+ course is the one is for anyone who already has some Hebrew background.
So, if it's been a while since last learning or speaking Hebrew; or you're not a complete beginner, but would still like to revise and have a more solid foundation- before moving on to deepening your understanding and knowledge of the language- this one is for you.
Moving Forward course is for those who have some basic conversational skills in Hebrew, can read and write, construct grammatically correct nominal sentences, and/or completed the Beginners+ course.
The course focuses on the most common and useful Hebrew verbs, in Present tense.
You will also enrich your vocabulary, learn useful Hebrew phrases, and acquire a range of tools to help you keep improving your Hebrew.
Classes are always fun, in a friendly, easy going atmosphere, while using songs, games, colours, pictures and more, making everything CATCHIER and more enjoyable.
It's all part of a unique teaching method, creating a solid foundation for anyone who aspires to have good, correct Hebrew.

For many years I’ve been teaching via Skype people who are based in the United Kingdom, United States and Israel.
Never before was there a problem of opening any of the files or links that I sent.
I am sorry that your computer was unable to open anything else while using Skype, but when teaching online, my assumption is that I'm working with functioning computers (though some people's computers are very slow, and yet, it's never a problem).
I do use Word documents, as well as Adobe… JPG, different links etc.
These all make the lessons more interactive, interesting and enjoyable.
When you struggled opening all of them, what I did instead was showing you different cards and worksheets, using the web camera.I also offered to Email you all the files in advance for next time. I'm sorry there was not much more I could do.
I do advise anyone who is interested in having Skype lessons with me to make sure they have a computer that does not get stuck when using Skype. Otherwise, it will affect the lesson's efficiency.

She is a very relaxed and amiable person, but never abandons the pace of the course so that progress is maintained. She is extremely attentive in class to those who may not be following, and so ensures that each person receives the requisite attention according to his or her needs.
Above all, her standard of Hebrew is high, so that you will learn modern Hebrew which is correct, but not out-of-date, so that the result is both grammatically sound, as well as being practical today.
I have been lucky with my teachers in life, having been privileged to attend a series of first class institutions, and Uma ranks very near the top of all of these.
