Personal Description:
I am a native Turkish speaker and a primary school language teacher. I was born and brought up in Istanbul. I move to London when I was 20s. I teach Turkish, Spanish, English as a second language 'ESOL learners' and “life in the UK test”. The lessons will be improving 4 skills: speaking, reading, writing, listening.
I have an enhanced DBS check on update service.
Turkish exam preparation GCSE / A level : 40 min. £40
Teaching Experience:
I teach at a school during the day, via a zoom meetings for evenings and Saturdays, video and audio conferencing, group class, preschool, mainstream - Secondary School and high school. I do live classes via a zoom meeting for students.
I teach worldwide. I have students all over the world for instance, mostly from England, France and Turkey.
I have experience in teaching to learners at various ages and language levels. As a native speaker of Turkish and experienced tutor.
I have experienced at a preschool, Secondary school, A level for a boarding school and adult groups.
I teach English and Spanish as a 2nd language for a private school right now.
Teaching Approach:

From Karen (/5): Tulay is teaching my son turkish as he is half turkish but can't speak the language. Tulay is very good at praising him when he does well. Tulay is also very patient when he gets it wrong and never gets frustrated with him. Tulay is very good at explain why things are said the way they are in turkish and is always happy to answer any questions during the lesson. At the end of each lesson Tulay always makes a point to ask him if he has any other question's. Tulay comes across as warm, friendly, fun and clearly cares that her student's are happy. I would highly recommend Tulay as a tutor.

From Fionna (/5): I have been learning Turkish on my own for a few years and have a lot of vocabulary but I am very poor at speaking Turkish and so started lessons with Tulay 3 weeks ago.
Tulay is a very lovely and friendly teacher who is helping me gain confidence in speaking while also teaching me the correct use of Turkish grammar, useful vocabulary and gives a wider insight to Turkish culture.
I am very much enjoying my lessons, Tulay does speak Turkish very fast but slows down when I struggle to understand. I find Turkish people do generally speak very fast which is why I have found it hard to develop my conversational Turkish, hopefully I will improve with Tulay’s help.

After just 3 lessons, my niece is understanding and learning really well.
