Personal Description:

Bonjour!
My name is Tanguy, I come from Southern France and live in London, where I have just finished my PhD degree. I am deeply committed to teaching and learning. I enjoy facing up to new challenges. I am a hard-working person, with a zest of originality.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked (and mostly taught) in many different countries so far, which has been very profitable for my teaching practice.
I began as a French language assistant in 2006-2007 in a secondary school in South London.
Two years later, during my MA in Montpellier, I became a tutor at the department of English of my home university.
I went to the US in late 2009 to be a French language instructor at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. I taught a class of 20 beginners (aged 18 to 25) on a daily basis, which was extremely motivating. A few months later, I crossed the border and offered one-to-one tuition in Montreal, Canada.
In London since 2010, I achieved the status of Associate Practitioner delivered by the Higher Education Academy in February 2014. This qualification is in line with the UKPSF standards for teaching and supporting learning in higher education.
I am now teaching at Goldsmiths on the seminars 'Approaches to Text' and 'Modern American Fiction'.

Teaching Approach:

The teaching I offer is tailored to your specific needs. I try to relate to your own interest to facilitate the learning process. My teaching method is fundamentally active: we will work towards the goal that you will have determined beforehand through a constant engagement with the language on your part. Lat but not least, I try to make my teaching fun whenever I can!
