Information About Sven - Heywood teacher

Personal Description:

I grew up in the North of Germany until I moved to England in 2011. I moved purely because of my interest in further deepening my knowledge of the English Language and that is why now I teach German.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching films and musicals, learning new skills (I've been really into sewing recently) and just generally like to keep busy.

Teaching Experience:

I have completed my PGCE in 2019 and have since worked as a supply teacher.
During my PGCE I taught in two fantastic high schools.
Prior to this, I was a teaching assistant. I prefer teaching smaller groups and 1-on-1 as it means I can give each student more attention and direct the approach to them.

Teaching Approach:

I like to personalize my approach to each student. I find that linking a student's interests to their language learning benefits them.
I tend to focus on building learner's confidence, particularly in regards to speaking, using praise, and giving examples from my own experience.
