Personal Description:

My name is Suzanne. I live in Kirklevington in Stockton on Tees. I am married and have two children and I love teaching languages. In my spare time I am involved in local orchestras and play cello and piano.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught French and Spanish up to A level since 1999. I have taught 11-18 in state and private schools but more recently I have moved to private tuition which I do from mainly from my home classroom in Kirklevington, Stockton on Tees. I have a lot of success with my students mainly due to the intensive course that I have written. This allows accelerated learning and I find that students usually make quick progress. I am also an examiner for AQA and so am up to date with recent changes in the curriculum and criteria. I do find that most of my students following formal qualifications realise their potential with most gaining the very top marks in the exams.

Teaching Approach:

I love to see students responding positively to my teaching methods and feel that one to one language learning is vital for effective learning. I use the many internet resources and activities to good effect and many of my students who are following formal courses attain the top grades. I also find that a little humour goes a long way to calming nerves and creating a positive learning atmosphere.
