Information About Stuart - Worcester teacher - (11 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Stuart:
I am married with 2 grown-up children and have lived in Worcester for 25 years.Having previously lived and worked in both France and Germany I am knowledgable and enthusiastic about different cultures as well as the languages. Very experienced at 1-1 teaching with age groups from GCSE, A/AS Level, university students to adults requiring to improve their language skills for business. Full CRB certificate and currently a supply teacher in a local school and Sixth Form College.
During my time in France and Germany I had 10 years' experience of teaching English as a foreign language, 2 in France and 8 in Germany. Since then I have worked 16 years as a college lecturer, including 10 as senior lecturer, teaching German and French, 11 years as a freelance teacher of German, French and English as a foreign language. I have covered GCSE, A/AS level, undergraduate and post graduate courses as well as London Chamber of Commerce exams for business, The Goethe Institut and Alliance Francaise exams and courses for fun, leisure and general interest.
I teach in a very practical way, focussing on the learner's requirements. If the main objective is to pass an exam, then that is the main focus, of course. If the ability to communicate well, say in business, is a priority then we work hard on that aspect. Always my approach is positive and encouraging.
