Personal Description:

I am an experienced, friendly French native teacher who teaches adults and children. I am dedicated,patient, encouraging and motivating. I have been working exclusively as a French tutor for 8 years and I love it. My adult learners and my exam students consistently achieve great results with their French. I also enjoy teaching French to adults from absolute beginners to advanced learners. I love sharing my passion for French culture and language with my students. I have formed good bonds with my learners over the years and I feel privileged to tutor French.

Teaching Experience:

I have a PCGE in Modern Foreign Languages. I have taught French in British secondary schools for more than 10 years. I have plenty of experience teaching students of all abilities at A level and GCSE. I have also prepared students fo the Common Entrance French Exam. With adults of all ages I teach the DELF A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels. I also love tutoring adults from absolute beginners survival French to advanced or effective French. I am proud that some of my former adult beginners are now fluent and living in France!

Teaching Approach:

I am a friendly and motivating teacher. I want my students to feel comfortable so they are enjoying the lessons whilst they are making progress. I provide individual personalised lessons with plenty of well selected activities. I understand the difficulties students may encounter in their learning thank to my experience. I explain things as clearly as possible. I also make sure that my academic students practise with exam questions and papers. I keep my students motivated by sharing my enthusiasm for the French culture and language.

From Jonathan (5/5): I spent several months meeting with Stephanie every week in order to improve my conversational skills in French. The sessions with Stephanie were extremely helpful, and improved my conversational skills significantly. She was always very punctual, attentive, and tried to find the best methods to help me, by choosing new topics to discuss with new vocabulary. I wholeheartedly recommend Stephanie!
