Personal Description:

I was born in Bloomsbury, central London and now live in Pimlico.
I am available at most times on weekdays, and can teach in my flat.
I enjoy teaching one-to-one English.
I enjoy the arts in general and walking in the countryside.
(April 2021 : I have had 2 Covid Fizer vaccinations and so am immune and quite safe).

Teaching Experience:

I have had about 30 years experience of teaching English as a Foreign Language both in England and in France,
I have taught all levels from beginners to university entry.
I have taught in both public colleges and private language schools, and at the University of Westminster.
I have had a lot of experience of teaching for the Cambridge Advanced examination (CAE), and all the other Cambridge exams including KET, PET and FCE. I have also taught for the IELTS exam.

Teaching Approach:

I like to teach English in a communicative style in the form of having a conversation. So I like the atmosphere to be informaI, but also focused. I guarantee that I will have you speaking English soon if this is a problem.
However I also believe that accurate grammar is essential if you want to really progress to a good level.
I think that reading carefully graded (to an appropria**Contact Detail Removed**vel) stories in English are a wonderful way to learn English.
Many of my students have said that I am the best teacher they have had.
I may take up to 24 hours to get back to you as I only check my emails once a day.

What I really like about his teaching method is that he always spots and corrects all my mistakes not only in writing but in speaking as well. I feel that for a native speaker it can be easy to overlook mistakes in speech so I really appreciate he does it so thoroughly. If you are looking for a private EFL tuition I would highly recommend Stefan as he is an excellent private tutor who can help to improve your English skills.
