Personal Description:
I am a Trainee Teacher with a BA in Modern Foreign Languages from Newcastle University.
Teaching Experience:
I have tutored at an amateur level for 3 years, and I am currently working towards my PGCE at a Secondary School.
Teaching Approach:
My approach to languages teaching is not to drill vocabulary into you! It is to give you the tools to use vocabulary in the correct way. I will teach you how the language is formed. If there is a specific context you would like to work in that is brilliant (e.g. language for holidays / business etc.) but it is much more effective to teach you 'how' to say something instead of 'what' to say.
I love mistakes, there is absolutely no reason to fear. Learning a language is scary, but making mistakes is absolutely the best way to learn! I am friendly and encouraging and I hope that my students will catch enthusiasm for languages!
