Personal Description:

I was born and went to school in the UK. I left the UK to pursue my career and stayed abroad for many years as I was able to move into a position where I could run an ESL school.
I have worked in Asia for most of my career but whilst I was there I taught students from over 40 different countries.
I love teaching English and helping people understand the nuance of the language so that they can use it naturally.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught people of all ages from many different backgrounds. I started working as a teacher in 1999 and then started my career as an ESL teacher in 2002. After working for a while in some different organisations, I was given the opportunity to start an ESL school abroad. I took on this job and during my time there, the school taught over 20,000 students and we gave assistance and training to over 200 newly qualified teachers.

Teaching Approach:

My approach depends on the student.
I like to incorporate fun topics and discussion pieces so as to practice and use English in real-life scenarios.
I also like working with grammar so as to give students a strong base knowledge of the language should they want it.
I try to find topics that students can relate to and things they use daily.
The lessons can be as intensive or relaxed as the students wish.
