Personal Description:

Hi, I'm Sara!

I am a native speaker and have been teaching English for nearly 20 years in schools and universities around the world. I am from the south of England and have a very clear accent.

I have a CELTA (certificate in English language teaching) and because I love teaching so much, I have also completed my DELTA (a diploma in English language teaching), as well as a degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies.

Teaching Experience:

I worked at local language school for 10 years and have gained a lot of experience teaching General English to adults of all levels, as well as exam course such as FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS.

I have also worked as a teacher trainer.

I currently am self employed and have been working from home for the last 6 years.

Teaching Approach:

I speak Spanish and have lived in Spain, Libya and Mexico, so I understand the challenges of learning a new language and living in a different culture. When I first started learning Spanish I was very scared of making mistakes. One of the important things that helped me was finding a teacher that was patience and made me feel comfortable and knew when to speak and when to give me time to express myself. As a teacher, I make sure that students feel the same when they work with me.

I really enjoy teaching grammar and vocabulary and I explain them clearly. I have many years teaching all the skills, and specialise in helping you to improve your reading and writing.

I absolutely love teaching IELTS and would be very happy to prepare you for this exam. I can also help prepare you for university and support you during your studies at university at all levels, including proofreading your written assignments.

I can provide homework, but this is not compulsory.

I also offer a discount if you book 10 classes with me.
