Hi everyone! I am an experienced teacher from Exeter, UK. I LOVE teaching and I LOVE seeing the satisfaction on students’ faces when they grasp a new concept.

Teaching Experience:

I have a U.K. teaching qualification for secondary modern foreign languages - German, and a Level 7 (Masters level) Diploma in TESOL. I have taught German in secondary schools, and English as a foreign language to adults for over 25 years, including the Cambridge exams (FCE, CAE) and extensive experience of getting students to succeed at IELTS. I have 7 years' experience in school management and online teaching. My speciality is preparation for the IELTS exam.
I lived in Germany for 4 years, so speak fluent conversational German. I can help you communicate in German for travel, business, and studies.

Teaching Approach:

I use ZOOM for online lessons, which include listenings, videos, and interactive vocabulary games. I spend time getting to know my students, assessing their needs and learning styles. I adapt my lessons to fit students' goals. I help students achieve what THEY want to achieve.
Specifically for IELTS EXAM PREPARATION, I use an extensive range of resources, some commercial and some my own specially-designed materials. I tutor students through the Speaking exam, giving detailed feedback on fluency, pronunciation, grammar and coherence. I take students through the Marking Scheme for the Writing exam, so that they understand how to get the best possible results. I help students with spelling, which is also necessary for a good Listening result. And I give students the tips and secrets they need to answer the tricky questions on the Reading exam. We practise reading for speed and scanning for the correct information.
For GERMAN lessons, we have fun! We practise conversation, vocabulary, and listening. We learn grammar in a communicative way at your pace and only what you need or want.
