Personal Description:
Arabic Language and its literature always have been my lifetime passion, it consistently creates my curiosity to dive on it deeply.
In 2004 I graduated from the Lebanese University, Department of Arabic Language and literature. I have attended an intensive course led by a famous Syrian director and I have participated on writing some TV series. Recently I have awarded a certificate on professional voice over from the International Academy for Arts, Media and Creativity. I have passion on reading novels and books. I have read more than 200 books and my home bookshelf contain more than 150 books most of them social, philosophy and prison literature. I have participated in many local novelist competitions and in 2019 I won with a story that illustrate a Syrian woman suffering. Right now, I am writing my own novel and hopefully will end soon.
Teaching Experience:
I started my professional work in teaching children, then I established an educational and recreational center for children in the city of Aleppo from 2011 to 2015. During that time, I was able to manage this center besides teaching the Arabic language in it for the primary level.
In 2021 I launched aYoutube Channel to teach Arabic for non-Native speakers and for Arab children in diaspora.
I have attended some professional courses in teaching Arabic for non-speakers which taught by experts and professors on that field.
Now, I am teaching Arabic for non-native speakers students (14-16 years olds) in Jammia Alhuda an Islamic school in Nottingham, United Kingdom.
Teaching Approach:
My favourite approach is the communicative which is the most commonly used by schools that teach Arabic as a second language. Lessons are usually divided into reading, writing, listening and speaking activities. Students who learn Arabic with the communicative approach are given a well-rounded education. If the class is planned and taught well, students can learn quickly and can start holding conversations in Arabic a few weeks after they began the language course.
I also use the vocabulary-based approach. This approach involves learning Arabic by associating words with pictures of the objects they represent and is often considered both the easiest way to learn Arabic and the best way to learn Arabic online. For the grammar rules they will be naturally learned by students as they progress. Arabic learners can improve their vocabulary very quickly with this method because of the use of repetition and images.
