Personal Description:

Hi there! I am a recent graduate with a First class degree in Classics with French from the University of exeter, and 4 years of experience helping students with French and Latin. I am a keen linguist and have been all my life, picking up French, Latin, Ancient Greek, Italian and Spanish throughout the years. I am available to help whether you're looking for help preparing for exams (I have experience helping with the 13+, GCSE and A levels), or just to improve general confidence and proficiency. I'm patient and flexible to working around my students' personal learning styles, so they can learn and improve in the way that works best for them.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring for 4 years in French, Latin and Maths, from Year 7 up to Year 13, and have amassed 75 5-star reviews and 450+ hours of tutoring under my belt. Throughout this time I have helped students prepare for a variety of exams and exam boards, including the 13+, GCSE, IGCSE and AS and A Level exams.

I am also in the process of earning my TEFL qualification which has grounded my approach with a technical knowledge of the theory behind various teaching approaches and techniques.

Teaching Approach:

I think flexibility and individual tailoring is so important in my approach to tutoring - everyone is so unique in their learning styles and to be able to get the best results. I always try to connect with my students on their level to build an environment where they feel confident to push themselves and comfortable to make mistakes. I always try to focus on the foundations first, no matter the level, to make sure that wherever we go from there has a strong base!

I always start by asking what the student feels their strengths and weaknesses are, and what they want to improve, so I can make a plan for how to approach our lessons in they way that will benefit them and their goals the most.
