Information About Pierre - Acton teacher

Personal Description:

French musician and composer, I arrived in the UK in august 2023 for my studies at the Royal College of Music of London. I am fluent in English, and my mother tongue is French. I went to University to study cinema history and analysis, which gave a good experience of writing and literature. I am now completing my studies and looking to work in the UK.

Teaching Experience:

I'm very experienced in teaching music to children from 4-5yo to adults, in various contexts in France and in the UK. I also had pupils in special needs (anxiety, high stress), as well as retired adults, so I am very flexible and adaptive in my approach. I'm used to teach either at the student's home, my home or in a private school. I have academic experience and therefore very confortable in teaching my mother language for any reason and contexts: learning French for traveling, for work, for leisure, for academic, for writing…

Teaching Approach:

My approach is really adaptive to the pupil's needs, I'm always conscious and careful of the pace and the amount of work he or she is used to. Regular practice and home exercises are fundamental but once again depending on the person's mindset and environment. I try to listen as much as possible so that the student feels comfortable enough to progress without too much pressure. The live human aspect, even online, is essential to me, to navigate in this lively language. Approach of the culture, history and country tradition is also an option for lessons, not only grammar and theory!
