Information About Pedro - Hereford teacher

Personal Description:

I have always been interested in languages and language learning and I am currently studying a BA in French and Spanish at Cardiff University. I enjoy the experience of teaching others languages and I am passionate about the languages I want to teach in. I am also interested in travelling and the cultures of the countries where those languages are spoken.

Teaching Experience:

I have previously taken part in a mentoring scheme (MFL Mentoring) which entailed tutoring secondary school pupils in French and Spanish as well as encouraging them to study languages in the future emphasising the importance of language learning.

Teaching Approach:

Being a student of languages myself, I am aware of the difficulties students face when learning new languages. I am flexible depending on the needs of my tutees but I tend to think that conversations and actively practising the language is the best way to learn it. I am prepared to speak about a range of topics as well as teach using more formal methods, including aspects of grammar and reading/listening exercises.
