Personal Description:

Hola! I am a specialist in Spanish Language and Spanish and Hispanoamerican Literature. Coming from Chile, Spanish is my mother tongue, but having lived in England for the past ten years, it has given me insight into the English culture and language.

Teaching Experience:

I have thirty years of experience teaching all range of ages (from pre-school to adult education). To date I have worked in local schools and colleges preparing students for their Spanish GCSEs and A-Levels. I have also privately tutored students preparing them for the aforementioned examinations, and most of them have achieved A or A*. Finally, I have also worked with adult groups, enriching their knowledge of the Hispanoamerican culture through Art and Literature, in preparation for their oncoming vacations so that they are able to make the most out of their experience.

Teaching Approach:

I am flexible and open, with excellent social skills, and highly committed. I am creative and proactive, with a natural ability for organization, managment, teamwork leadership, creating innovative projects.
I use music and texts that are relevant to each student. For instance, if the student likes football, then I present them with a text about that topic. This engages the student more, making them more willing to learn. In addition, I am open to work in small groups, using a relevant methodology because I have often found that the learning of a language is facilitated when the environment allows a dynamic group discussion.
