Personal Description:

I am a Dundee based linguist who has worked in the public and private sectors in teaching, translation and translation project management both in Spain and the UK.

I believe in life-long learning and am a keen language learner myself (Spanish, French, Italian) and understand the difficulties and frustrations involved in learning a language and how to overcome these.

Speaking other languages has opened so many doors for me and had led to new experiences, friends and career opportunities.

Teaching Experience:

I am a Spanish and English as a Foreign Language tutor. I offer online tuition.

I have taught English as a Foreign Language to adult international students, teenage students in a state secondary school in Seville, Spain and have also taught Spanish to groups of students from beginners to university students, as well as adults.

I'm happy to cover a range of individual learning needs - Holiday & Conversational Spanish, Business Spanish, National 4, 5 and Higher level revision and exam preparation.

Teaching Approach:

I believe in creating a positive, relaxed learning environment where students can reach their individual goals and enjoy the experience of learning about a new language and culture. It's not just about becoming 'fluent' it's about enjoying the experience and feeling the satisfaction of achieving your goals.

I have experienced in a variety of teaching environments including CLIL and other bilingual educational settings and enjoy teaching with a variety of materials to suit individual learning styles and preferences.

I offer individual or group lessons (including corporate groups) online via Skype or Zoom.
