Personal Description:
I am a native Spanish tutor full of original ideas to bring online Spanish lessons to life. I create my own resources for all levels ensuring a truly personal learning experience! I have been teaching ages from 10 and up for over five years both online and in person.
I am currently teaching ONLINE using my own materials and virtual whiteboards; it really is as if we were in the room together!
Teaching Experience:
As a Spaniard living in the UK I am keen to introduce others to my language, culture and traditions.
I have a teaching diploma from Cervantes Institute and I have also a degree in Building Architectural Engineering. A strange combination i´m aware!
I have been teaching Spanish for over 5 years in a language school, face to face and online. I specialise in Key Stage 3, GCSE, A Levels (all major syllabuses) and simple ‘holiday Spanish’ for all ages.
Teaching Approach:
My lessons tend to rely on my own resources rather than simply following a text book, as I believe the best way to learn is by enjoying your time, this applies for both kids and adults! I am very creative when it comes to lesson planning, something that makes something complicated seem simple.
ONLINE LESSONS: I keep my online sessions as if we were face to face, by using online whiteboards, interactive activities, YouTube videos, screen sharing, and of course, my own resources.
MY OWN RESOURCES: I design and create all my teaching resources for learning Spanish, an example of these can be seen below, I create colourful flash cards, games, and notes that will make learning more accessible for all ages.
For GCSE and A level learners, I provide resources that assist with exam preparation and have access to past papers for reading, listening and writing as well as support with the speaking exam.
For students who are going to Spain or South America on holiday, the learning is based on topics that you want to learn, this could include, eating out, sightseeing etc.

In terms of teaching, Patricia made it fun. Not only did she come up with creative ways to teach, she also made sure I was remembering what I learnt as we went.
I found that over the 6 months with Patricia I learnt basics in Spanish very well, as I started from no knowledge of the Spanish Language whatsoever! I can now overhear conversations and know roughly what is being said, as well as speak myself to a certain extent. I am moving away so I cannot continue with Patricia weekly, but I highly recommend her as a tutor for anyone of any age.
I looked forward to my lessons every week with Patricia and I'm really going to miss the progress I made in Spanish. If you want someone who is well spoken in english and of course a great teacher, you should definitely learn with Patricia. Couldn't recommend her more! Always enjoyed the lessons so much and to be honest, I really did learn more Spanish than I ever imagined I could in the time we had.

we are enjoying our lessons, we are slow to learn and need patience which you have and an excellent sense of humour which also works for us. We thank you for your support and hope with you tutoring us we will continue to learn and develop the language as it is so important to us that we do.
It is hard as we lead busy lives but we will get there and though we wont be the fastest it will come together.

Muchas gracias! Many thanks for your nice and honest feedback. You and your family are doing great, learning a new language for the first time it's not very easy, specially the pronunciation, however, you all are making a fantastic improvement. We need to keep on practicing more and to get ready for our next lesson… Vamos de tapas! (Going for tapas).
