Information About Pablo - Lisburn teacher

Personal Description:

Born and raised in the South of Spain, I went to university in Madrid, where I studied a Translation and Interpreting Degree (specialising in Spanish/English), and from there I moved to Northern Ireland, where I studied for a Bachelor Degree and stayed here. I love languages and I also love teaching, I can speak English and Spanish fluently, and I can also have conversations in French and German. In the Spanish equivalent to A-Levels (Bachillerato), I studied Latin and Koine Greek, which I passed with high marks.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring in different languages since I was a teenager (+10 years). I started tutoring classmates who needed help with English, who then recommended me to others. My Latin and Koine Greek teacher also recommended me to tutor both languages (Latin and Koine Greek), as my grades were very high on both. In the last couple of years, I have been tutoring online as well (Spanish and English), in this way I taught Spanish to professional footballers, English to a young professional with a specific focus on port vocabulary, and also students who wanted to improve English writing skills. I am also a volunteer teaching English to refugees in the UK, and I have done this in the past as well, teaching Spanish to migrants in Spain.

Teaching Approach:

I try my best to adapt to my student´s needs, I prepare the classes with your needs in mind, focusing on what is important for that particular student so that he can improve in that particular aspect of the language. I have taught writing, grammar, conversation, phonetics, and reading comprehension in different languages. At some point, I was a language student too (still am), so I know the struggles that come with learning a different language, and I use that to explain difficult concepts with patience, making sure you understand them. I also try to be aware of your goals, as it is not the same to study a language just to pass an exam or to actually use it in real life, that is why I will take a different teaching focus with each student, making sure that what I am teaching is relevant to you.
